For the second time, Solarplaza will take an international renewable energy delegation on a Renewable Energy Trade Mission to Iran, exploring project development and investment opportunities for large scale renewable energy projects.

This event will connect international renewable energy project developers, investors, financiers, EPCs and manufacturers to local stakeholders during a week-long trade mission (17-21 September 2017), including private meetings with government, regulatory, utility and commercial stakeholders and a 1 day conference.

The conference ‘RE opportunities in Iran’ is a unique platform to discuss wind and PV opportunities for the years to come. With over 150+ local delegates it opens the door to form partnerships and a chance for matchmaking.

The first edition of the Renewable Energy Trade Mission Iran (2016)

Last October Solarplaza broke ground in Iran, with an international renewable energy business delegation, thus being the first international event for Renewable Energy market development in Iran, offering first-hand insights and tools to build succesfull business cases in the prolific market Iran presents.

It brought together experienced and highly capable RE companies from across the globe; from Japan to South Africa, from India to Europe. The trade mission consisted of 4 days of content driven meetings and workshops, that offered a platform to discuss and debate the strengths and weaknesses in the market with renewable energy industry peers.

Key topics, or points of debate were those of tax regulation; possibilities for payment guarantees; VAT and its impact on financing schemes; and the custom duties relevant for RE projects.
